Michael Strader
Partner & Vice President
“I feel the greatest sense of pride when our clients are successful in their fundraising programs, and I know that we made a difference.”
Michael credits the Boy Scouts of America for teaching him resilience, teamwork, friendship, and the love for the great outdoors. An Eagle Scout, Michael spent 11 years working for the national organization before shifting his focus to development and fundraising at NC State University, UNC-Chapel Hill (his alma mater), and most recently, the Conservation Trust for North Carolina as development director. Michael recently served as the Interim Vice President at two institutions.
Drawn to BrightDot for its unique fundraising approach, Michael travels all across the country helping clients discover ways that will make them more effective and efficient. When he’s not hard at work, you’ll find Michael outside, gardening or working in his yard, hiking some of the local trails around the Triangle area, running, and enjoying the local bites and brews around his hometown of Durham.
