Lorene King
Regional Vice President
"Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen." Winston Churchill
Lorene believes that current shifts in fundraising require new thinking and offer opportunities for those with non-traditional backgrounds. After starting her career in the for-profit world, she later transferred her talents into new roles with ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The NASCAR Foundation, and Daytona State College. These unique roles helped Lorene develop her fundraising skills and knowledge to include individual and major gifts, planned gifts, corporate sponsorships, events, and community activations. Â
Now, Lorene enjoys identifying, training, and helping people and organizations launch plans to achieve successful philanthropic campaigns. She joined BrightDot for the team’s cohesiveness, out-of-the-box thinking, willingness to take risks, and the focus on relationship building.Â
Within her Florida community, Lorene is an active member of organizations serving children, families, and education. She and her husband, R.D., enjoy traveling with friends, playing pool, listening to audio books, and adventuring to learn chess.
